Hello, my name is bluepencil, I'm from the UK. I draw comics and cartoon characters. I also dabble in animation, storyboarding and pixel art.
I've been watching Sycra's videos for some years. His iterative drawing video blew me away and transformed how I practise and study drawing. I'm a very analytical person (sometimes overly so), and it was very eye opening to find a teacher who has the same kind of personality and approach. Applying his iterative principles has helped me out in a big way and put me on a better learning path.
Old-fashioned internet art forums were a big part of my life during the mid-2000s, but my old/main forum shut down many years ago. A sob story for the ages. The Internet has changed enormously since then - that older style of tight community is difficult to find, and they tend to be rather quiet these days. I'm very interested in (and concerned by) this trend.
Perhaps the Sycra forums might be a good fit. If so, I hope I can make a positive contribution to this community and make some friends. Please feel free to PM me and say hello if you're into any of the same stuff that I am!
