Subject title: Photo study. Help needed

Hello Community,
I'm right now struggling extremely by doing photo studies. Can somebody tell me how I should begin a photostudy and what kind of brushes I should use? I'm using Clip studio and only the default brushes.

There is not really any one way to start one, but drawing wise you should watch out for proportions and angles as explained here:
https://www.ctrlpaint.com/blog/measuring-proportion

Also, while you're free to choose whatever reference material you want, choosing one that is so ambiently lit won't do you any favors. If you're new to all of this, I'd suggest something with stronger shadow shapes. More on that here(Warning: nudity):

Something like this would be more useful:

Last thing is, it's not really a study if you're not trying to study somethign specific that you can apply to your original drawings. So I'd decide on that first, otherwise it's just a copy for fun.

The eyes already look nice! Good job!
Blurring the picture ( or squinting your eyes) can help you focus on the form of the face first. Remember to see the whole picture( eg, values, shape, size and how they relate to one another) before you start on the details.
