Subject title: Learning to Draw Anatomy

Hi I've been inactive for a while but now I'm looking to improve mainly my anatomy drawing but I'm not sure where to start. My process is always look for reference and try to draw it and then try to exaggerate the proportions or the perspective. I'm not sure if that is an unproductive way of learning to draw and I should really be doing each body part separately and then putting it together.

Really looking for serious critique, whether it is of the drawing or my process. I'm looking to learn and improve. Please and many thanks <3

I can see some construction in your drawings, but it doesn't look like you're building individual muscles on top of bones or a simple 3D form. You seem to be skipping steps and making a guess at how several groups of muscles (e.g. the entire forearm, or the entire bottom half of the leg) look as a single complex 3D form.

Break down all of these sections into individual muscles (or groups of small muscles where it makes artistic sense), and draw the individual shapes of each muscle. Learn how they work together. Focus on a single area of the body instead of the entire body all at once.

Also, don't neglect the skeleton. Learning where muscles attach to the skeleton and how movement of the skeleton stretches and compresses each muscle is vital to understanding anatomy.

This is heavily simplified anatomy.
If you want to learn how to draw good looking simplified anatomy, you need to know how to draw accurate anatomy first
(btw, really good, way better than I could do)
I would reccomend doing some heavily accurate/realistic anatomy, then coming back to the simplified stuff.

:D
I draw stuff sometimes and it looks like this: (Latest work on page 8)http://forum.sycra.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76279
