Subject title: What i need improve in this piece?

Anything that can be improved.
Please, make a OVERPAINT.

In others foruns/facebook groups a lot of beginners read books and don't apply the knowledge, it's a big problem, don't comment only theory! :evil:

I think your sketch is pretty good, but you lost a lot of structure when painting it. Also it would make your piece more interesting if you added colour variation- especially with animals and organic things, there's a lot of opportunity to create contrast with hue shifts.

You need to improve your sense of form. The painting is flat. It was hard to tell how everything was supposed to be so I guessed. The main point of the paintover was to show form. It seems to me like you were too reliant on the sketch and in general reliant on lines. You need to learn to think in forms. That is how I did the overpaint. I started with a simple rounded box form for the head and a cylinder for the neck. Then added secondary forms like the cheek, eye, nostril, and mouth. All are simple spheres and cylindrical form.

I am not sure what to say. I think it would be easier if you said what you are wanting to do with your art. Are you wanting to do more realistic or stylized? Or in between?

I've done a few different studies here.
Thanks for the help, other artists helped me too, now I know how to study and where to go.
