Honestly? Tomoko from Watamote. I'm not exactly like her at all, but I do feel a really big connection with the feeling of solitude and misunderstanding she suffers through the anime, and how everything looks way better than she'll ever be (although she's actually fucking cute and funny... YOU HEAR ME, TOMOKO? YOU'RE NICE, YOU IDIOT). Yes, I could also say I am like characters that are baddass and eccentric and loved by everyone... but let's be honest, the only times I actually feel the connection is when I see my weakness on a character, because then I AM them. Because I've suffered too. And I kinda know how to make it out of their misery, but they don't. And they won't do anything no matter how hard I scream at my computer.
My tradition is the art of superstition.

I just finished watching Idolm@ster. The last arc with Haruka really hit home. How she wants to be with her friends, yet they have their own things they have to do. She understands, but ultimately the desire to be with the people she loves, yet cannot, drives her to depression and discouragement.
Sometimes I feel like Sorata (Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo) or Ema (Shirobako) too. Where you want to be able to be good at what you do, yet no matter how hard it seems you try it feels like you've progressed nowhere. Because you love what you do though, you struggle on. Even if that struggling causes pain, you know that one day you'll be good at it and it encourages you to press on.
