Subject title: Started off so well and then blown it?

A little while ago, I did a sketch that started out that I was really digging on.... then I blew it at the end and rushed it.

The finished piece looks wonky.

I had taken a quick scan of the sketch before it was finished. It's not good enough resolution for me to re-do (as I was drawing on paper and not in photoshop).
Anyways.... I really like how it looks unfinished.

Any of you all ruin a perfectly good sketch and then not have the heart to go back and do it over?

Please post your unfinished piece that looked cool and then the disaster that was the completed piece!!!

It might be because the composition works better in the first piece. Take a look at Sycra's Composition series, and
then you can move the elements of the final piece around in photoshop to make something that looks more solid :)
