Subject title: Helpful links and pictures

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yGWCcmc-Kg I ended up just making a video explaining the Print Setup rules of thumb... No one really gets into it as much as they need to. Yeah, I apologize for my unprofessionalism but I was just trying to explain it all from the top of my head as fast as I could and I still went 15 minutes > <

Well crap, looks like I need to ramp up the DPI on the posters I'm working on, I was trying to avoid it 'cause my PC sucks.

.:Edit:.
Doesn't look like it's making a visible difference in quality within Photoshop though so that's good :).

The pixel resolution should adjust to the new inch values. If you're doing posters at 12x18 or make sure the res is at about 2400x3600, and don't forget your bleeds :D!

I dropped my file into a new 11x17 document at 250dpi(as far as I remember anyway). The long side was over 3k pixels so looks like I'm good.

Ron Lemen's Youtube page:

In case you don't know him, he's famous for teaching anatomy, he also studied at Jeff Watt's Atelier(where Proko' used to work).

This isn't really a resource per se, but it illustrates a good point for newbies on the difference between copying and referencing:

I don't know if it has been posted already, but I found it extremely helpful:
http://biodigitalhuman.com/
You have to register, but then you can look at the 3D model of the body from up and down, turn particular muscles on and off etc. Really helpful for people who want to learn anatomy (and a great help for forshortening too).

I believe in reciprocity in regards to constructive criticism in sketchbooks.
(In other words, tell me what you think about mine and I will most likely visit yours and do the same)

Matej probably didn't pay his image host's bill, there's more resources here than just the first post though.

I found a helpful page of studies. It's really useful for planar and blocking out the body. It's kind of like what bridgman does but it reads a whole hell of a lot better than bridgman's stuff.

Really great channel here. It's got a little bit of everything in each session: demos, Q&A, and paintovers all done by pretty well known artists. What more could you ask for :)?
