Subject title: Style of Japanese Pants

Can somebody tell me what these pants are?
Are they japanese pants especially for training purposes? Are they very wide pants which are just bound close to the legs on the lower part of the leg?
How are they called and do you have real photo(-source)s maybe?

The pants are called hakama, and the gaiters are called kyahan. There is one type of hakama that basically has a built in kyahan called tattsuke-bakama or iga-bakama, but the example you have looks like the kyahan is over the top of the hakama.

Wow, I read the question and thought: Why in the world should anyone on here know this?

But alas, I was proven wrong a second later. Wonderful place, this is.
...you see, it's supposed to be fi_le like the file from the computer... the one where you put the data things in.

To be fair, I only knew that the pants were called hakama cause I've looked up related stuff for a piece before. I didn't know what the gaiters were called, but it took me all of 60 seconds with Google to find out.
