hi @lillo9546! i too admire these delicious drawings, and they too make me want to eat my hands. what james is doing is a combination of 2d and 3d. even though the drawings don't show the construction, like the shapes that make up the drawing, he definitely still understands the construction super well. this video shows some really good gestures, but if you want to see a super easy and effective way that a lot of people on this forum use also, look no further than the box technique!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyOK5N2 ... medAldoori - this video will really help you see a great way to feel out the figure when you're doing poses. this is kind of the 3d portion.

i would recommend combining this with scrya's method, which you can see pretty clearly at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmiwGm3 ... nnel=Sycra.

if you put the boxes on top of sycra's gesture method, i think it makes drawing the figure a lot more manageable. this is, in a sense, the 2d aspect. he shows the motion of the bits and pieces.

i'm an amateur at this too, but the more you do gesture and figure practice, the easier it gets.

also, the more construction you can learn the better. if you have more construction, you can figure out the form really easily and then know how to shade, rotate, and do other stuff with your drawing.

as for drawing the boxes, here's a good video which shows you how to get good at drawing boxes and stuf! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF8XgTQ ... rndayjames

remember, the best way to get better is to practice a hell of a lot. it gets more fun the better you get at it too!
hey man you like drawing wow crazy me too what are the odds wow small world wow
