Subject title: Art Documentaries

.:Edit:.
I decided to just make this a topic on good art(in one way or another) documentaries that I've watched.

This is a documentary on copying and how everything basically is a copy despite big companies suing for what is supposedly original ideas. It was recommended by Dave Rapoza and the LevelUp! guys as it pretty much directly relates to the visual arts despite it not really talking about it. Anyways, I found it interesting so I just thought I'd share.

A look at all the art in the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the history of the pieces. It's pretty cool, some of the pieces look better here than in some hi-res pictures I've seen of them, and the building is pretty cool too, parts of it look like something straight out of a video game.

A day in the life of Pixar founder John Lasseter. It's pretty interesting to see all of the tiny details they have to ask for approval on, I doubt I would even notice most of it.

A look at Leonardo Da Vinci's life, and the importance of patience. The other parts are listed in the description.

Very interesting, I'll watch that one about copying.
And on the same theme... It's an interview, not a documentary, but it's awesome to listen to: talk with the authar of "Steal like an artist" book.

Also, I would recommend a great Yasuo Ootsuka's film "Joy in Motion" which is about animation. There is no a youtube-version, but you can download a rip on bakabt.

A BBC documentary about what makes a piece of art valueable.
I liked it!
