Subject title: How to present yourself to the public

If you would try to present yourself to the public and show (off) your skills as an artist (so that maybe they get impressed and hire you),
NOT to the "art community", not to other artists, but people who have no idea and who may even think "someone who draws good has to be born with talent for that",
lets say you want to get known as "the artist" in your local city, you could choose 3-5 pictures,
what would you show them?

I think the act of drawing in public is enough to draw people's attention. I think the layman is often more impressed with the act of drawing, rather than the end result itself, anything that you can turn into a spectacle basically. Another option is just to show them something they can recognize and relate to like portraits of them and their family or fanart of IPs they're into.

I don't have to show them drawings at all I just wear a black turtleneck and black jeans and it gets the whole "I'm an artist"-thing across instantly

Sometimes it also helps to have a pencil pinned behind one ear. ;)
...you see, it's supposed to be fi_le like the file from the computer... the one where you put the data things in.
