I recommend reading this book "Force: Dynamic Life Drawing for Animators", it goes over how gesture can be used to represent mass in a drawing, it is really insightful. I think the next step is to start applying gesture to 3D figures, it is much harder to control in 3D space. You can also start applying form to your figures to see how well you are capturing the gesture itself, because often times when you start adding form it stiffens.

Nsio's are also great, they go over how the line of action can be used in more than one way.

Thanks for the info DarkLored. I definitely agree the next step is developing forms and dimension into my gestures. I've looked over Nsio's tutorial's you linked me along with a few other resources and I'm currently trying to put it all together. But it's a real struggle and it's going to take a while, but in the dozen's of bad gestures I have I'm starting to see things that work. Slow progress but it's there.
