Subject title: Lighitng Practice

Hey all,

I know I need to work on the anatomy of this, which I know nothing about, but I was wondering if anything could spot other problems with this. I'm hoping the lighting is fairly consistent as this was lighting practice. Any critiques welcome and thank you in advance!

The character and perspective read great, the background doesn't though. It's unpolished looking compared to the character. I think the problem is it's too flat looking when the character looks 3d. What are those green and dark green blobs? The character is pretty great though and I like the fact they cast a shadow.
