Subject title: Human Pose - Critique This!

I just did this sketch for my portfolio, I have to do six, this being my fourth (definitely my best so far) and would love everyone to critique me on it.

I know the picture quality is kind of bad as I used my I pod camera but feel free to critique me on any aspect of the sketch. I would really appreciate some opinions on my shading, as well as my use of highlights/shadows.

Wow, that needs a warning. I clicked the image to see it up closer and got a real shock. It links to a site with very pornographic images above and below it.

I like her disproportioned body, and the twisting form you did... but some things aren't working, like the arm pit, and the side of ribcage.... you've put down a shadow there making is feel like a dump, when it should be rounded... and the structure of the arm pit is not well done, you should check some reference, in this case, you should study the anatomical structures that make that specific part. It may seem strange, but theres a lot going on in a arm pit  seriously, there are a lot of structures and muscles meeting there that give it that form. I did a figure just to point out what I would change. I did it pretty quickly, so it's a bit rough, and no reference, I'm sorry about that, so you should still check some reference, cuz mine might not be as correct as I would like. But anyway hope it helps a bit.

Oh I did a little turn to the face, cuz I thought it would make her look more dramatic... I think you should address the face as well, if you want to keep it like that.

peace

Thanks! I like how you did it, I'll definitely work on the things you said! :D

.
Make sure you do about 20 gestures on the same pose and many thumbnails and so on.
It is important you do that, before drawing :)
