do you mean adding some mountains in the background or detailing up the shoreline? kinda at a blank spot with ideas lately.

For you me you need to add some more details to the piece, more definition as to what is what. The viewer is doing a lot of the imagining/creating/interpreting at the moment, I would start to address this by adding brake lines where water meets land, texture for the water etc. I believe this is what Marvel57 means when he says "Sharper Objects". Also have somewhere for the viewer to rest their eye, I think you have attempted this with a figure in towards the bottom right, but its a little hidden at the moment, Try bring this more into the foreground.

Just my initial thoughts :-)
