Well hmm, see how the legs of the creature/machine they are not on the same level plane. The front leg it seems more longer than the other and also the way you have the feet of the creature drawn make it seems as it is floating rather than walking on a surface. I assume you did intend for it to be walking on ground? It will help for you if you are to draw a plane underneath the beast and that way you will know if everything is on the same level. I hope this helps for you! :D

that left leg is looking pretty weird to me.

my advice would be... draw it without all the guns first. It should be readable without any props. try and work on the structure itself... and improve on that. Sketch freely, and use multiple angles to describe the design. I would then clean everything and use a ruller, if you have all the lines pretty and neat, and everything fitting where it should, then the design will show a lot better. only then should you work on all the props and detail...

You need to consider the perspective.

If the Walker is in "3/4-view" the leg further away will be shorter on the paper.
Try to practice with simpler shapes like Squares and cylinders to begin with and then draw the Walker design on top to get perspectives right... :)

you wil only get better if you gave your designs a bit more of a thought when it comes to perspective and those very important basics. you won't improve by drawing a lot. (at least, I don't believe that.)
experiment and try some new things out.

by the way, the little thumbnail with colours seems kind of interesting.

p.s. is there a reason why all your sketches are so small?

ok, your design will only look good, when everything will make sense. and everything will make sense, when you yourself will definitely know how your design works. so...

1. - how exactly do the legs connect to the body?
2. - where exactly is the cannon barrel coming from on the body? how is it attached to it?
3. - how come the walker is not falling backwards, when the feet are not beneath the center of the walkers body?
4. - why are the two "shin" parts so very different in thickness to each other?
5. - why is the barrel hole not more of an ellipse, since it is not facing us directly?

these are the sort of questions you must know the answer to as you draw your design. and when you dont know these as you draw it, it means you are at an EXTREMELY early phase of design - kinda like brainstorming on paper, you are not actually rendering a design, you are just thinking with your pen so far - the image is not of a walker itself, it is an image of an IDEA of a future walker.

you see when you know what it is you are drawing, you can get that idea across much better. this is my super fast sketch of the very same thing, keeping in mind at least the basics - i would still not consider it a "walker" just a thumbnail idea sketch *shrug*.

and of course, since it is to be a "walker" it makes sense to draw it walking... (its also more fun :D )
