Subject title: Upper Body Skeletal System

hour and a half long study for the upper skeletal system. Sorry it is so sketchy, I'm new to Photoshop and have not been able to learn how to clean my art work yet. :/

Lately I have been doing some anatomy studies so I can more easily produce a subject for concept art without a reference model. Any critique or suggestions for me getting the hang of anatomy would be helpful!!! =]

nice job here. this is also what ive been doing to get better at anatomy. when im playing around with the skeletal structure while practicing ill do odd things like add only a muscle herre and see how it correlated to the rest of the figure and etc. try that and drawing different groups of muscles and in very odd positions. at least thats what im doing and i feel its giving me a better understanding of both male and female bodies.

Hey thanks! So basically your saying just draw groups of muscles and bones to see there interaction with each other? That makes sense, I will start practicing like that then.

Yeah it really can be a big help especially if you're having trouble with certain areas. For instance I struggle bad with female bone structure and the way the hips move with the body and I've been practicing that way and its gettinf much easier and I'm understanding the relationship between the muscles and the way the pull on other groups and etc
