been doing alot of gesture studies and stuff, and they suck and are not worth to post, but made these doodles today during class which look kinda cool to me.

Didnt use reff on these, probs would have been a good idea with the skull. I also like how the apple turned out :)

That new year portrait in black and white was one of the nicest pictures to me, felt lively. Amélie Poulain?
And I like the skull. Cute.

Had a very busy weekend and didnt really make anything worth posting, but I did just make these while watching sinix.

I like the middle one the most by far, the other two look very wierd and were kinda rushed tbh.

Hello again. Cool to see digital stuff too I really like your paintings on page 3. I think your right about the heads. The one on the left looks a bit thin/ squished. The one on the right looks good, but the proportions of her arms are too small in relation to her head.

Look forward to more though!

Thnx for the feedback Pete, I feel like on page 3 I made some great stuff and learned alot :)

for this one I wanted to make something kinda complete looking so that I can put it in my portfolio, that is why I added the middle face from the last painting.
I might chance the glasses at one point, I was trying to go for a trippy look but it just looks messy I think.

also as you can see, I've been watching some sinix. This video was probs the most influential: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBv5z0Y2odE

Two sketches I made during class today.
I don't rly like the Russian guy, but at least he doesn't have 'sameface' syndrome.
the USA guy looks like a father maybe, i like the final product.

I also was doing a EU guy, but didn't finish. I might update this post when I finish.

few more sketches I made during class today.

The white male was meant to look Canadian and the other one is meant to be Israeli. I think they both look pretty dope tbh. :)

Also made a fish-lady. wanted to try something new and cooky. This one I might chance up later, since i dont rly like the look of it.

Tried to draw some of my friends(ikr) during my free hours today.

The top two are people that used to be in my class but not anymore, so I didn't have a reff to refer to, but they turned out pretty accurate IMO.

The bottom one is still in my class, didn't have life reff while drawing but it was still pretty clear in my mind.

I like how these turned out, some anons told me the style looks like Gta VC, SA and III so that's pretty dope.

Didnt draw that much this weekend, but here there's this:

my first drawing is me trying to paint over an old sketh of mine. turned out pretty wierd, but its still a lot better than my other attempts at painting. Also looks very sunburned.

Second one I drew another friend from my school, the drawing looks to adult to rly resemble him. Also added highlights to one of my last drawings.

Last one is a wierd edgy drawing where I tried doing alot of trianglur shapes and try doing different Hue's.(this one was made before the painting.)

Nice portraits. I especially like how you go from flat colors to values with them. Cool stuff!
I too mainly draw girls.

Tnx Geryes, it's a real learning experience for me. Still dont really have the hang of it though.

Posting another WIP, but idk how to finish this one :?

Its obviously not done, but with the cel shaded look I'm having trouble adding dark values.
also i have no idea how to paint fabric, so idk what to do with the hat.
still kinda like it, despite its flaws :)

(edit: gonna try to focus on doing colorless stuff next, since it might be a bit to early to start worrying about hue's.)

Didn't know what to draw today, so I decided to draw something I saw on 4chan yesterday.

Halfway through I forgot how it worked, so had to find the picture.
the right vp is pretty messed up idk why.

I drew this from a refrence pic, but after drawing for a while I started to notice that there where some parts of it that didnt make sense to me. Tried to fix it on my own, but idk if its correct.

I'll post the reff here aswell(dunno if that is against the rules), if anyone can give some clearance of this? cuz i'm just left confused.

(edit: this is wrong, i'm gonna try again.

This one is kinda right, atleast better then the last one.

its not 100% accurate but I think I get the gist of it.

gonna try to do these alot faster in the future, also using color coded lines to clean stuff up, it's gonna be awesome!

Enough boxes!!(for now)

Made this weird spooky lady during class today, might clean it up later, but tbh probable not.
IMG_1390.jpg

An anon who gave me some awesome advise told me he thought I should read Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth. So might check that out when I'm done with perspective made easy and How to draw.

Made a thread about my boxes and shadows, Ambiguity and Goago gave me some awesome advise on perspective and the cone of vision: basically the gist of it was that my vp's were way to close to each other. Here is my flothing box with shadows made with help of their crits.

Are you using Photoshop? I like this brush that you're using for the perspective stuff.
