Subject title: RAC00NIE's sketches and stuff (probably some NSFW)

Hello! I'm RAC00NIE and I'm new here. I will start my sketchbook thread. I'll try to update it every day for now (don't know what I'm going to do when school starts). This sketchbook will probably have traditional and digital stuff here. If you see something wrong with my work or just something I could improve on, don't be shy and share your opinion with me. Critiques are always welcome!

This is a painting with watercolors. I did it from a reference picture. I'm trying to improve my watercolor painting skills.

hey!! very nice illustration!! :D I love those colors and the gesture. As a suggestion, I would emphasize the face, putting more contrasted or defined edges (eyes, nose, mouth)

I was drawing some hands today. Still didn't fill up the whole page though... These weren't done in one day. Will post updates on this when I can. I drew some of the hands almost 3 months ago, so you can probably see the difference between them :D

wow, I like the first one a lot, especially colors and values on the jacket. Did you try to match values and colors of the reference, or did you take liberties?

Ur stuff is really fundamentally sound. It all has this slight photo feel to it, thats really impressive.
Especially that first illustration
I draw stuff sometimes and it looks like this: (Latest work on page 8)http://forum.sycra.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76279

Thanks! Yeah, I took some creative liberties.

Here's today's work. It's done with a pen from a reference.

Study of ,,Bacchus,, by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. I will fix and probably paint it tomorrow. What the hell is wrong with the face??? It came out stupid looking. Will have to fix it tomorrow :x

from what I can see, the face is not quite as round as it is on the original, and their left eye (right for us) is off to a side.
If I may offer, or rather relay, some advice: better do a small part of the painting immaculately than the whole thing not so. (That was said specifically in regards to studies by a Russian academic drawing instructor.)

I can't say much other than that your stuff is really impressive!
The only issue I see with your Caravaggio study is that his eyes aren't facing in the same direction.
Keep it up!

Guess this is what I'll be painting. I think I will say this sketch is done. I'll probably paint this tomorrow. Sorry, this isn't much progress... Today was a lazy day... I hope tomorrow is better though!

Your sketch came out well and I'm sure the painting will too :^). I wouldn't worry too much about having a lazy day, at least you're progressing right ?

Thanks for the support! I'm a pretty lazy person when it comes to art, but I'm trying to get better :)

Awesome studies and painting! You have very very nice lines!
I like to draw girls. If you like girls too, you should check my Sketchbook ^^
There's stuff on my Twitter and Instagram too.
I do streams sometimes, mostly weekends on my Picarto channel.

Here's the painting progress. I will probably paint more tomorrow, because laying in the first colors is the hardest. Skin tones are hard...
