Subject title: Arrowu's Sketchbook Journey

Been drawing for quite a while but never actually sat down to really practice the technical details such as anatomy, figure drawing, and gesture drawings.

Guess this will be the beginning!

Critiques are welcome! :)

Heeey, welcome to the forum :D

You have nice stuff here so far. I like that you do gesture drawings, they look pretty cool! The fact that you're starting with gesture line is good. Keep on practicing them and you'll get even better feeling of flow in your figures, which is noticeable now :)

I also like the cartoony style in your character designs, though the images are quite small to see the drawings more detailed
You can use Imgur for that

Anyway, keep on drawing! :)
I like to draw girls. If you like girls too, you should check my Sketchbook ^^
There's stuff on my Twitter and Instagram too.
I do streams sometimes, mostly weekends on my Picarto channel.

Also thanks for the tip on imgur

Edit: Tried the imgur thing, and my photos got cropped because they were so massive :< soo just gonna keep it to imgur links for gesture drawings.

Welcome to the forum! I hope you stick around and grow and learn alongside all of us :D

I like where your style is going a lot! I'm a big fan of stuff inspired by western cartoons, and that's what your characters remind me of. Gonna echo what Koźlik said - I wish your images were bigger so we could appreciate them more!

It's also awesome to see your gesture drawings. I would recommend starting to jump into longer poses - I assume most of these are about 30 seconds to a minute? Longer poses let you sit back and really think about the forms of what you're drawing, and they give you more time to observe all the details. Maybe end every quick gesture session with one or two 5- and 10- minute poses? Or something, lol. But yeah, good stuff :p

Oh, you can use software like Fotosizer then and set the size of the longest side to something about 1000px.
I hope it'll help!

Will try the longer poses DRaff :D

Also thanks! I'm still experimenting between western and anime style.

Will begin using it when I get back home to my precious desktop Koz ^^. Fotosizer doesn't work on my mac laptop ;A;

Anyway, Dec 31 2016

Sorry, I'm a little late. Was exhausted from a flight. So now I'm in the same timezone as you guys!

Anyway here are my daily gestures ^^

Will work on getting my photos to a smaller size so I don't have to keep on posting imgur links for you guys.
