I really like your watercolors, Elle! They are coming along nicely ;o

And those color practices you did... 0.0 daamn :D

By the way you might have answered this somewhere in your topic, but what kind of art program are you following, what year, and how do you experience it?

I could be wrong, but looking at some of your lines in the practicing pictures, I think you're moving too slow. They're kind of jittery and I think it's easier to get straighter lines when moving quickly.

@Artenthusiast thanks ^_^ I’m a junior at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I love it now, but I didn’t get as much as I could have out of the past two years here because I didn’t understand what illustration was and how to practice art (I focused way too much on copying photos and making work that looked impressive instead of actually understanding what I was doing). This semester I've basically been trying to make up the lost time by studying the fundamentals a ton and I think it's going well so far!

@pseudoreceptionist thanks for the feedback! I think you’re right, I’ll try to work on that :P

A watercolor self portrait attempt that looks nothing like me (I did it at like 3am while listening to stories about unsolved murder cases on Youtube so looking at it still creeps me out xD)

well comming up with a single comment that explains my feeling as i looked threw your sketch book.......*bluescreeen REBOOT - System halted*

okey i guell ill have to say a little more than one word then :-).

In general, your line work is of very high quality.

your box drawings are really amazing, i know how incredible challenging those can be, mine is no wear near yours tbh... but its motivation to see others doing the same.

I like the series of paintings with the monster behind the mask of diffrent aspect, really cool concept...

oh... ill stop blabbering...

good sketch book! KEEP IT UP!

Nice inspiration there! I haven't had the pleasure to read it yet but what I've seen of Tokyo Ghost's artwork is stunning. And so are your drawings! Those heads of yours are so pretty and creepy at once :D

And yeah, seconding what Steeliebob said. Those colors are gorgeous.

So much work! I think my favorite thing about your stuff is the way you shade your traditional drawings. Something about hatching is super appealing to me; I think it might be the sense of "texture" it gives the piece. I think this one stood out to me the most: http://www.sycra.net/forum/download/file.php?id=62801

You have improved drastically when you compare the first page of sketchbook to the last one. Also your color studies have proved to useful. :D
Your proportions of a face have improved too. I would love to see more gestureswith extreme movement from you with that hatching you have developed.
