Subject title: Oli's sketches [NSFW] input needed

Oli, long time since I visited this SB, nice works man, you're improving a lot!

May I say something that bothers me of one your pieces? The guy with the guitar, he has the pick on his lifted hand, but it was hard for me to figure it out, it took me a few seconds. It's on the same line as the finger, so, for the next time you wanna draw something like that, I recommend you to uneven the things, you could've point the pick one way and the tip of the finger in other diretion.

A little example of what I'm trying to say... it's early here and I don't work well in the mornings.

That's a strong study. Nice highlights and edges. I want to say the jaw is a little small but that might vary from skull to skull, not sure. Also, I like how the bottom of the piece looks a lot like a wood grain texture, probably just a happy accident but for a second I thought it was painted on wood, heh. Keep it up.
My sketchbook. Feedback and crits welcome.

Thanks mate. I am not super happy with it (I am still happy though). Maybe I'll go over it next year once more... And yeah, the wood texture is a happy accident.

Anyway, something in ink for a change :D

The workshop I am in is closed... easter break! So, no update on the oil painting. But I made a pencil version to keep me going - any thoughts?

I'm no anatomy expert, but I think her eyes are too separated from each other.

Me neither :D But yeah... Half the eye is in deep shadow (here and in the ref), so it is tough to spot. Gotta work on it a bit more then...

But I got the oil painting done. Yeah! Some 15h or so, a couple of coffees, lots o' paint and a brush.

Oli is just slowly turning into a god while I wasn't looking...

Fucking hell.
We have DID (the thing Sycra has).

Quick summary of forum writers:
Artist: she is mainly the one who draws.
Writer: he is usually the one who writes on the forum.
Lawyer: he studies everything, honestly.

You should! I was lucky to find a "teacher" who helps me a lot with the technique (dry brush, oil). It is super fun and "easy" to use since you can easily correct mistakes.
