i think it'd be cool if you did some sort of core shadow instead of the lines (on the figure) to show the form, like some frazetta-esque stuff, it could boost your inking appeal if you're into that kinda stuff

I indeed started to do so, but I ain't finished yet with the piece. And to Frazetta-esque, I feel I am still miles away.

Dang man, that's some smooth ink. Your hand must be steady as a rock. Is this all the brush pen I can see or do you other things as well?

Hey mate. Thanks for the comment. And yeah, I almost always use a brush (Kolinsky red sable brush, type 2). To fill in bigger areas I use a refillable brush pen with a bigger tip.

Oli, long time since I visited this SB, nice works man, you're improving a lot!

May I say something that bothers me of one your pieces? The guy with the guitar, he has the pick on his lifted hand, but it was hard for me to figure it out, it took me a few seconds. It's on the same line as the finger, so, for the next time you wanna draw something like that, I recommend you to uneven the things, you could've point the pick one way and the tip of the finger in other diretion.

A little example of what I'm trying to say... it's early here and I don't work well in the mornings.

That's a strong study. Nice highlights and edges. I want to say the jaw is a little small but that might vary from skull to skull, not sure. Also, I like how the bottom of the piece looks a lot like a wood grain texture, probably just a happy accident but for a second I thought it was painted on wood, heh. Keep it up.

Thanks mate. I am not super happy with it (I am still happy though). Maybe I'll go over it next year once more... And yeah, the wood texture is a happy accident.

Anyway, something in ink for a change :D
