Subject title: Petr's sketchbook

Hi :)

My name is Petr and I have been drawing since Jan 2017. As I do not know nobody in my neighborhood who draws and who I could share drawings with I decided to start this digital sketchbook.

Below I am posting an extraction of something I have made till now and would like to be adding more overtime.

Any criticism is very welcome as I have had just my point of view on what I draw till now and this is just so limited.

I thank you in advance for your comments and wish having fun with your drawing to all of you :D

Hi,

just adding some sketches I have made recently.

- Practicing drawing tentacles and mushrooms according to tutorial and then on myself. Then practising drawing some furniture, buildings and so on out of imagination. My goal is to get better at drawing 3D forms in different perspectives. I am trying to use just simple forms and shapes and putting them together in order to get more complex form.

tentacles tutorial https://cz.pinterest.com/pin/602145412654437927/. There i a lot of stuff like this and I found these short tutorials very very useful for myself. So I guess, that it could be useful for the others aswell.

I am not sure about the perspective of the house drawing and furniture drawing. I also do not feel very comfortable at lineart especially at line thickness. Well, I guess, the more I will draw, the more I will see :D

Any criticism is very welcome.

Hi guys,

another couple of sketches. The first 2 I did in Krita. I do not use it very often, but want to learn more. Especially I would like to learn managing colors better. In the 1st picture started with grayscales, but after I put colors on it I starded using another colors and more and more. So in the end I thing that I could skip the grayscales and start with colors straight away, I do not know:/

The rest are sketches traditionally with pencil and liners and one of them with my china markers:). The most of them were dried out even when it was shipped to me so I do not use them very often. NOt very good deal. Sometimes shit happens :)

+ books tutorial sketches

Comments are welcomed :)

Hi Petr and welcome to the forum!

A very interesting style you have yourself there. It looks very clean and cute, but I like the gestures most. Have you ever tried animating?

Another suggestion I'd have for you is to do some shape design exercises, since that seems to be your weak point. Draw up a bunch of little rectangles and make appealing compositions inside them, if you feel like it. I think you'd improve a lot from that!

Have a nice day, mate :)

Hi fi_le,

Thanks a lot for your comment, appreciate it.

Well, I have never tried animating in a way to get finished animation(except the one below, but it has nothing to do with drawing). Sometimes when I draw different poses I am asking myself how the pose looks like from different side or what is the next step of the runnig gessture or stickman and then I draw another one and another till I get to the first one. So this can be kind of animating I guess. But I do not do this very often:D But I found out recently that the Krita has possibility of creating animations, so I can try out:D

Below I am adding 1 animation which I did a long time ago in illustrator and got it moved in image ready:D

The composition in rectangles looks like very good idea and reasonable tip. I guess I will try out:)

THANKS
