Subject title: WB sketchbook (possibly NSFW)

To take a break from the lineart I tried to draw something without using lines. There are some issues, but I think it turned out nice

Image

As I was too lazy to finish the portrait I was trying to add some effects to make it look cool without doing any background and so on. So I added this triangular thingy

Image

I couldn't decide which version i prefer, so in the end I decided that I will post both of them :D

your poses from imagination are almost indistinguishable from the ones from reference, that is really good and your faces are very nicely rendered
The effect you added on that last one makes it look like an album cover! and for some reason it made the face look better in my opinion, well done!
Hope you're having fun drawing, or whatever it is ya do!

Thanks, I am glad you like it :) To me the last one looked more like from the movie neon demon, which is cool, cause I liked it ;)

This week is somehow slow, every drawing takes me longer that it used to, and they are usually off. I am not sure why it is like this, but it is a little annoying. Nevertheless, here are some figures from reference

Some figures from imagination. First ones turned out kind of bad, but I am quite happy with later ones :)

Image

I especially like this one, although I am sure anatomy is off ;)

Thanks :) this month I want to focus more on faces, so here are some drawings from reference. I struggled with hairs a lot, I will need to check out how other people draw them

Ugh.. not happy with this page, faces looks terrible and figures are usually off. Need to work more on this stuff

Image

I also bought for myself an ink pen to practice more traditional drawing. Here are some quick sketches from reference, ink is not waterproof so I think I will have some fun creating these washes

Wow, nice mileage with all these figures! And that portrait in pastels on the first page came out really, really nice!!

Thanks :) yeah, pastels are a great medium, the only issue is that it takes me forever to make a painting with them ;)

Some more figures and faces from imagination, faces are still off

Faces from the reference. I tried to be quick with them (10-15 minutes, I am quite slow overall), but maybe it wasnt a very good idea as they did not end up being too good

Figures and faces from imagination, still struggling with facial features - I think I need to simplify them more

I tried to draw and analyze some relationships in eyes, but I am not sure whether I learned anything useful :?

Faces from imagination, I feel like they are getting a little better, but still are rather ugly

Image

I also decided to start doing 5 min portrait drawings from reference. When learning figures Ive been doing a lot of this short sketches, so maybe this is the missing ingredient
