Subject title: Legion of Noobz (Study group)

Greetings all,

Welcome to the Legion.

My name is Jhaiden. I am new here and just starting out. I've noticed there are quite a few whom fall into or are close within my level of ability. I figured why not start a group to work in tandem with our sketchbooks and posts or what not. My goal here is to have a place that isn't so amazing as to be intimidating. Not that beginners can't be amazing or are any less amazing than other artists, but as I have learned lack a certain refined quality. I would consider newbs to be the berserkers of the school class.

If anyone feels they would like to join in, feel free to introduce yourself.

-Jhai

Greetings!

My name is Brian. Which can be seen from my username.

A little info about who I'm:
I have been drawing occasionally since I was a child. I always loved comics, but didn't continue drawing due of parents and whatnot. So now I'm retaking back my creative spark.

Nice to meet you all!

Doing great, couldn't do anything yesterday. Due of some others stuffs I had to finish. But been drilling on a lot today.

A good advice that I read in doghateburger (a.k.a iccy) - Pick a subject and focus on that for a full week. So lets say you want to improve on proportions. You could break it down into 1 week hands/arms, 1 week head, 1 week legs etc. Hope this helps!

Beginner myself, this i like the idea of the group but this seems to lack substance, i just wanted to throw in an idea - what about starting a DA group like /ic/'s http://unmotivatedlosers.deviantart.com/?

I love that Idea, and I would totally be up for doing that if enough people showed interest. <3 Lately the legion has seemed more like a trio of newbs. Lol.

Could definitely use a dA group to keep myself on track. That way we can create weekly challenges / daily.

Hey Snake,

I like that Idea too! same thing applies though. It would be a waste to start a FB page or DV page and have it be a ghost town.

I thought there already was a Facebook group, but by the looks of things we already have 5 people who would be interested in the dA group - i think that'd be a fine start

Hallo there folks, my name's Will, and I'm a British student studying abroad in France. I just got into the digital art thing, and I've never drawn before in my life, so I'm eager to develop my art skills. For those wondering I've been using Photoshop CS6 w/ a Wacom Intuos 3. I'm really trying to work on my linework right now, as I can't draw a respectable straight line, oval, or any shape for that matter :(

Anyway, my skype is docmedpac, and I'd appreciate any advice you could give me. Currently my webcam is not really working so I can't do google hangouts. My email is leftenantgrinch@gmail.com.
